Pelican Pool and Spa Lift

The Pelican Lift is an Australian-made product, designed and tested to comply with ASA 3581. It provides a safe and effortless way for individuals with disabilities to access above and below ground spas, swimming pools, and hydrotherapy pools, without requiring any manual lifting. The lift is ideal for use in various settings, including public pools, leisure centres, nursing homes, schools, and private residences. It meets the standards outlined in the Disability Discrimination Act (Access to Premises – Buildings) as per the Building Code of Australia. The Pelican Lift comes with multiple customization options to suit individual requirements and is available in several colours to blend in with the surroundings.

What’s Included:
Manual Rotation Lift – Anchors for one location, Lifting Hanger, Battery, Hand Control and Cover. Options are added fo the basic package.

If you’re interested in the Pelican Pool and Spa Lift, you’ll need to consider several options to customise it to your needs. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

First, choose the basic package lift with the maximum weight capacity you require – either up to 150kg or up to 200kg.
Next, decide on your seating options. You may need to choose additional accessories, such as a Release Adaptor, if you want to switch between a Solid Plastic Seat and a Sling and/or Wheelchair.
Consider if you want a fully powered unit option. This may be necessary if you don’t have anyone to assist you with rotating the lift, or if you’re unable to do it yourself.
Add up all the options you’ve chosen to create your customised lift.
Once you’ve made your selections, you’ll need to have the lift installed. It can be either mobile or permanently fixed at the edge of the pool or spa. A handy person or tradesperson can easily install it on the pool deck, anchored with Stainless Steel anchors and eye bolts. Please note that for safe installation, you will need a solid concrete pad to anchor the lift to.

Concrete Pad:
To ensure stability, it is recommended that a concrete pad is used when installing the lift. For optimal support, approximately 1/3 of a cubic meter of concrete is suggested, with logical size options such as 1000 x 1000 x 300 or 650 x 650 x 650. The ideal location for the pad is up against the pool edge.

Anchoring the lift to the Concrete Pad:
Our standard installation comes with 100mm anchors that have a receiver for the eye bolts. These anchors will securely hold the 450mm Pelican Pool Hoist base in place. It is highly recommended to use a minimum of 20MPa concrete strength.

Earthing:
As per the AS3000 wiring rules standards, it may be necessary to bond (earth) all conductive metal objects equally in certain circumstances, including Pool Hoists. We recommend seeking advice and consultation from a qualified electrician to ensure safety and compliance.
